In April 2007, members of the OIT/ASTS Council suggested creating an event to bring Duke’s IT professionals together to share ideas and experiences, learn from each other and celebrate accomplishments — perhaps recurring in future years and growing to include participation by IT staff from other universities. The idea was approved, funds were allocated, and the project that would become TechExpo 2007 shot forward at light speed.

There have been nine TechExpo events to date—one each year, except in 2010, when the event was moved from its usual time the fall to January (in 2011), and then to April (in 2015). The event remains one of the highlights of the year for Duke's technology community, attended by IT staff from all the schools and from the central IT organizations, the Office of Information Technology and Duke Health Technology Solutions.

If you are interested in volunteering, contact the appropriate committee chair from the list below. We also include a call for volunteers in the conference registration, scheduled to debut on March 15, 2016.
