Ambassador Virginia E. Palmer, Acting Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Energy Resources at the U.S. Department of State, will join Duke University Energy Initiative Director Dr. Brian Murray for a virtual fireside chat on Feb. 2.
Having traveled the globe as a career foreign service officer, Ambassador Palmer will talk about what it's like to work for the State Department-and will highlight relevant career opportunities available to new and recent graduates. She will also discuss her current role, sharing insights on the State Department's efforts to advance the global energy transformation. The final portion of the event will be devoted to audience Q&A.
