Join us for Major Mixer - an opportunity for first-year and sophomore students to chat with academic advisors, peer advisors/E-Team, Pratt dean, alumni, employers, Department of Undergraduate Studies Assistants, faculty, and career advisers for advice on choosing their major. The Career Center is partnering with SYE, Academic Advising Center, Pratt School of Engineering and the Alumni Association for this event. Light snacks and drinks will be served!

Career Fair Backstage Pass [Registration required]

Join us for a bird's eye view of the career fair in action from our exclusive 2nd floor track in Wilson gym! You will be able to ask your last-minute questions, get an overview of how to navigate the fair, orient yourself using our Digital Career Fair guide, and access employer information. We will help you think about how to introduce yourself and what questions to ask employers to make a positive and professional first impression.

OIT Learn IT @ Lunch - Sites@Duke: Getting Started

Ever wanted to have a web presence for yourself or your department but weren't sure where to start? Sites@Duke is a service open to all Duke staff, faculty and students which lets you create a WordPress site for free. In this course, we will cover how to create your site and some basic options you can use to customize the look and feel, as well as plugins you can enable to extend the functionality of the site. Learn IT @ Lunch is an opportunity to learn about technology in a relaxed lunch environment.

Navigating the Dual Job Search [Registration required]

Planning for one person's career is tough; planning for two people's careers simultaneously is even harder! In this workshop, we will discuss how to establish professional priorities, and how to have productive conversations with your partner. You will also hear from a couple who have successfully navigated a dual job search. Non-Duke affiliated partners are welcome to join us for this session.
