The next generation DukeStream publishing platform is here, and it's called Warpwire. This easy-to-use web based service allows you to upload a video or image from your computer or smart phone (up to 10GB per item) and then share that item - or the whole collection it belongs to - with just about any combination of NetID-based users and groups using simple links and/or embed code. Warpwire now includes a plugin for Sakai that makes publishing media there even more simple, and there are plans to create one for Wordpress as well.

Topics in the session include use of tags and categories for organization, when and why to use posts or pages, how to allow students to create projects through subsites, and the use of plugins and widgets for teaching.

Women in STEM Lunch with Professors and Students
