He is currently the CEO of Carbon, Inc. a startup company he founded with inspiration by the Terminator movies and to make 3D printing 25 to 100 times faster. Joe is a polymer chemist, faculty member, teacher, mentor, entrepreneur, CEO, diversity leader and just an all around great person.

He co-founded FolioDynamix, a cloud-based wealth management and advisory services platform, which was acquired by Actua for $199 million in 2014. He is now working on his second FinTech company, Hello401, a retirement investment platform for employers, employees and professional investors. Before starting FolioDynamix, Aaron was a vice president at Citigroup where helped advance the Asset Manager Solutions global strategy efforts.

Effective Altruism combines compassion with reason to help you decide how you can do the most good. Mindy and Kevin will provide the numbers behind the outreach efforts - they'll look at how many lives are saved by various interventions, charities, and career paths.
