Pandemic Surveillance: Privacy, Security, and Data Ethics

The Kenan Institute for Ethics, InternetLab, Pennsylvania State University's Institute for Computational and Data Sciences (ICDS), and Penn State Law's Policy Innovation Lab of Tomorrow (PILOT) are pleased to host a virtual data privacy conference, "Pandemic Surveillance: Privacy, Security, and Data Ethics". On November 12-13, 9:00 am to Noon EST, join a group of international experts in a discussion on data privacy and security, and technological responses to curbing the spread of Covid-19.

CHINA Town Hall: Ray Dalio

Join the Asian/Pacific Studies Institute (APSI) and the Center for Internaitonal & Global Studies (DUCIGS) for a China Town Hall on Tuesday, November 10, at 6:50 p.m. (EST). The first part of the event will consist of a virtual "watch party" for a keynote address from the National Committee on US-China Relations featuring renowned investor, philanthropist, and New York Times best-selling author Ray Dalio for a discussion of today's most important issues, and the critical roles the United States and China play in an era of rapid global change.

Entrepreneurship Matchmaker Event

The EVCC (Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Club) Matchmaker event is for cross-school collaboration for students interested in the world of entrepreneurship. It is a place where the brightest students from undergrad, MBA, Medical School, Law School, and Engineering can share their ideas with classmates and join existing teams or form new teams to tackle the world's most challenging problems. This event will be hosted virtually on October 20th and we look forward to advancing entrepreneurship at Duke through the formation of new and cross-functional teams.
