Duke undergraduate and graduate students, join Energy Week at Duke for the inaugural Energy Solution Room! Students from all degree programs are welcome. You will collaborate with a small interdisciplinary team to develop solutions for energy challenges. Critical Issues in US-China Relations: Searching for Common Ground (China Town Hall 2021)

Join APSI and DUCIGS for a China Town Hall on Tuesday, October 19th at 7:00 p.m. (EST). The first part of the event will consist of a virtual "watch party" for a keynote address from the National Committee on US-China Relations featuring renowned author, journalist and political commentator, Fareed Zakaria, for a discussion of how the U.S.-China relationship affects our cities, towns, and communities.

Till Politics Do Us Part? The Current State and Potential Future of the US-China Scientific Partnership

Since China opened to the world, the US and China have developed an extraordinary scientific partnership, which helped China rise to the forefront of global science, expanded America's contribution to science, and has advanced knowledge in key areas of human well-being.

Current political concerns endanger the collaboration. The US fears that China is "stealing" intellectual property to dominate science and technology critical to national security while China complains of US bullying against its rise to world superpower.

Redistricting and American Democracy

Join scholars, practitioners, and advocates virtually to take stock of the current legal and political landscape, preview the upcoming redistricting process in North Carolina and elsewhere, and discuss the path forward for redistricting reforms. This conference is an opportunity for Duke students, alumni, and other participants to get engaged in the fight for fairer maps in North Carolina and beyond.
