The 12 Elements of Better Image Making: Impact, Creativity, Technical Excellence & Subject Matter

Every successful photograph depends upon a range of strategies. Good photographers use these intuitively - great photographers use them intentionally! Each weekend session will focus on several of these techniques so you can thoroughly explore each element and benefit from seeing how other participants interpret the same technique. Join Paul for one or all three sessions of this class to review the elements that create powerful images. Each section qualifies for credit as a Nature Photography Certificate elective course (11.5 hours each).

The Art of Storytelling

Photographs communicate a variety of stories to the viewer. In this class you will learn to reflect upon what you are trying to convey in an image. What would make the story more evocative? How could it speak more loudly? Through assignments and referring back to the twelve elements, learn to create images that tell a strong story and are more than just a picture.
