Yes, we’re talking to you.

The next Tech Expo is scheduled for Friday, April 15, 2016, at the Washington Duke Inn.

The event planning committee wants you to save the date, but that’s not all we want. We want your creative genius, too.

This year’s theme is about us, the IT people across Duke University & Health System, as Everyday Superheroes—the people who keep the business running, answer the call for help whenever and wherever we’re needed, and fight the never-ending battle for truth, justice and the Duke way.

But we’re not sure exactly what that looks like, so we’re opening it up to you.

How do you interpret “Everyday Superheroes”?

Would you draw a team of Spandex-clad stalwarts? Or design a Duke IT-themed emblem (like the Superman shield, only better)? Or write a mind-bending catchphrase, like “To infinity, and beyond!”?

Or do you have an idea that rolls all three up into one incredible package?

You’ve got until Jan. 29 to come up with the sketch, symbol or slogan that wows the judges (that’s us, the event planning committee), for us to use in promoting the event.

(By the way, we think “To infinity, and beyond” is taken. In fact, we’re sure it is. That goes for the Superman logo, the Green Lantern ring thing, and everything else that enjoys copyright protection. This has got to be your idea, which we will happily appropriate and make our idea.)
