To register for TechExpo 2016, or to see session information, please visit our conference web site.

Note: that link is no longer active after the event. We opened the site for registration on Wednesday, March 16, and closed the site April 15th, 2016.

Superheroes, please give us your thoughts about TechExpo 2016

TechExpo 2016 is over, but we need your feedback to continue improving the event.

We know you’ve donned your alter-ego garb and returned to your routines, but the surveying can be done surreptitiously, while you’re at your desk, pretending to be mild-mannered. Everyone who completes an evaluation will be entered into a drawing for a Roku 3.

Complete the survey now.

We’ll be back to you later in the week with links to superhero photos, a recording of the keynote, and so on.

Don’t even THINK about missing TechExpo 2016, Superhero!

Yes, we’re talking to you. We know what you’re thinking:

I’m just too important! I need to be at my desk, superfingers poised over my superkeyboard, ready to avert the next superdisaster!

But you also need to connect with superbuddies! And replenish your superknowledge! And learn to think outside the superbox (the corner into which you have probably painted yourself)!

TechExpo 2016 Registration is Open!

OK, everyday superheroes, registration for TechExpo 2016 is open!

To register

Visit http://rsvp.duke.edu/d/kfq1l7 between now and March 30 if you want lunch at the conference. We’ll take registrations beyond that, even walk-ins at the conference, but we can’t guarantee lunch to late registrants.

What we’ll want to know

In addition to personal information, like Duke Unique ID and department you support (not anything really personal, like whether you wear your superhero costume to bed), we want to know:

February 24th is the deadline for TechExpo 2016 Proposals

Superheroes, when the TechExpo Signal appears in the night sky, you can’t procrastinate! You’ve got to pull the Instant Costume Change Lever, jump into the fray and get that proposal written!

Remember that you’re the Everyday Superhero—a member of the team that keeps the business running, answers the call for help whenever and wherever tech support is needed, and fights the never-ending battle for truth, justice and the Duke way. And that it’s you who keeps TechExpo, your secret lair, stocked with new tools, techniques and training.

Call for Proposals for TechExpo 2016

You’re an Everyday Superhero—a member of the team that keeps the business running, answers the call for help whenever and wherever tech support is needed, and fights the never-ending battle for truth, justice and the Duke way. And we want you to think about TechExpo as your secret lair, the place where you replenish your tool belt, re-connect with your sidekicks, and renew your purpose.

But who keeps the secret lair stocked with new tools, techniques and training? You do, of course, with your presentations, panel discussions, learning labs and information tables.

Request for ideas

Yes, we’re talking to you.

The next Tech Expo is scheduled for Friday, April 15, 2016, at the Washington Duke Inn.

The event planning committee wants you to save the date, but that’s not all we want. We want your creative genius, too.

This year’s theme is about us, the IT people across Duke University & Health System, as Everyday Superheroes—the people who keep the business running, answer the call for help whenever and wherever we’re needed, and fight the never-ending battle for truth, justice and the Duke way.
